From June 21-24, the international ceramics trade fair ceramitec will open three halls at Messe München for the first time since the pandemic began. The show will cover classic ceramics and raw materials to industrial and technical ceramics and Powder Metallurgy, as well as a thorough supporting programme.

This year’s ceramitec will be an important benchmark and meeting point for the industry, as Dr Robert Schönberger, ceramitec Exhibition Director, confirms, “After two hard years, it is finally time again for in-person exchanges at trade shows—an opportunity that many companies now want to take advantage of,” he stated. “In the fields of technical ceramics, fine ceramics, raw materials, Powder Metallurgy and furnaces in particular, there will be many industry giants with us in Munich to present their innovations and trends.”

“Trade fairs always reflect the market,” he continued. “As far as ceramitec is concerned, we obviously would have liked to see more support in the heavy clay sector, even though we can welcome important players from this segment such as Lingl Anlagenbau, Sabo, Metalcertima and De Boer Machines. We get extremely positive feedback when we talk to our clients. And although things will probably be a little different this year, many of them are really looking forward to ceramitec.”

The supporting programme, which will fill two forums for the first time, is said to be one of the main draws of this year’s event. Over thirty slots will allow attendees to choose between expert presentations, panel discussions and exhibitor presentations. Also on offer is the Career Day for young professionals, organised by students of the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences, which will present options and opportunities to start a career in the ceramics industry.

“The programme this year is one that has never been so colourful and varied before,” Schönberger added. “Along with new applications for our high-performance material, visitors to the show will discover ideas that make manufacturing processes and the products themselves even better.”
