Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) and the Italian Association of Manufacturers and Exporters of Jewellery Machinery (AFEMO) have renewed their strategic partnership for 2026–2028. The agreement aims to strengthen the international profile of TGold, an exhibition dedicated to technologies and machinery for jewellery and precious metal manufacturing, which is held alongside the jewellery boutique show Vicenzaoro.

The renewed partnership forms part of IEG’s wider development programme for the Vicenza exhibition centre, supported by a self-financed investment of approximately €60 million. The expansion includes the construction of Hall 2, currently scheduled to open in September 2026. As part of the development, TGold will relocate from Hall 9, currently outside the main exhibition perimeter, to Hall 4, bringing it closer to Vicenzaoro’s exhibition activities.

From 2026, TGold will fully align with Vicenzaoro’s calendar, with editions held each January and September. The organisers state that the arrangement is intended to provide additional business opportunities for the jewellery manufacturing sector through a combined showcase of technologies and production solutions.

Under the agreement, IEG and AFEMO will continue to promote technologies, machinery and production systems for jewellery and precious metal manufacturing. The partnership will also support international business development activities to attract buyers and decision-makers from established and emerging manufacturing markets.

The organisations stated that future editions of TGold will place increased focus on developments such as automation, Additive Manufacturing technologies including Binder Jetting (BJT), new materials, sustainable production methods, and testing and quality-control solutions. These themes will also form part of a programme of conferences, educational sessions and training activities held during the event.

“Our collaboration with AFEMO represents a strategic asset that goes beyond TGold. It will involve all the Jewellery & Fashion Division’s exhibitions dedicated to technologies applied to goldsmithing and jewellery manufacturing, all with a strong international outlook,” stated Matteo Farsura, Global Exhibition Manager of IEG’s jewellery exhibitions. “These include Oroarezzo, the vertical event focused on manufacturing that shines a spotlight each year in May on the Italian district of Arezzo (Tuscany) and, through its Precious Fashion project, also addresses the high-end metal fashion accessories supply chain; JGTD – Jewellery, Gem & Technology in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates each autumn; and SIJE – Singapore International Jewelry Expo each July in Singapore.

“Together,” he continued, “our goal is to build an innovation platform spanning all our B2B events, capable of promoting knowledge transfer and supporting the international competitiveness of companies throughout the supply chain.”

AFEMO represents sixty member companies involved in machinery, equipment and services for jewellery manufacturing. According to the association, its members generate approximately €600 million in combined annual revenue, support more than 3,000 employees, and contribute an estimated €1 billion in indirect economic impact.

Massimo Poliero, AFEMO President, stated, “In an increasingly complex and competitive international environment, our companies demonstrate every day that industrial vision, quality and innovation are the key factors for addressing the challenges of the sector, with TGold serving as a privileged meeting point between supply and demand and as the most authoritative observatory on trends and developments in both traditional and emerging markets. The renewal of our partnership with IEG confirms a strategic collaboration that enables us to monitor, interpret and guide these markets while strengthening Italy’s leadership in the sector. Our mission is to support companies’ international positioning by creating value, safeguarding Made in Italy expertise and seizing new global opportunities. The technological know-how of our industry is a crucial driver of competitiveness for Italian brands, and AFEMO, together with IEG, will continue to support companies through a concrete, future-oriented commitment.”
