VMP raises $14.9 million to expand metal powder capacity

Jiangsu Vilory Advanced Materials Co., Ltd. (VMP), a producer of metal powders for Additive Manufacturing based in Xuzhou, China, has raised CNY 100 million (approx. $14.9 million) in a Series C+ financing round. Investors include Jiangsu State-owned Capital Investment and Suneng Co., Ltd.
The funding will support construction of Phase 4 of the VMP New Materials Industrial Park, as well as research and development into new materials and equipment.

VMP is also preparing a Series D funding round, targeting CNY 300–500 million to expand its production facilities and support preparations for an initial public offering (IPO).
The company has raised nearly CNY 800 million across multiple financing rounds. In December 2025, VMP completed a Series C round worth approximately CNY 310 million, achieving a post-money valuation of CNY 2.11 billion. According to VMP, this represented China’s largest single financing round for metal materials for Additive Manufacturing in 2025. The company also holds national-level ‘Little Giant’ status and is a pilot reform model company under SASAC.

VMP’s Phase 3 facility, described as an ‘unmanned factory’, has entered production with more than ten EIGA production lines. Its planned Phase 4 ‘lights-out factory’ is expected to add annual production capacity of 3,000 tonnes of titanium powder, 5,000 tonnes of copper powder and 2,000 tonnes of aluminium powder, alongside high-strength steel powders.
