Poudres2019: Sintered materials and Additive Manufacturing symposium to be held in Grenoble this May

Poudres2019 will be held in Grenoble, France

Poudres2019, a national symposium organised by Société Française de Métallurgie et de Matériaux (SF2M) and Groupe français de la céramique (GFC), will be held in Grenoble, France, May 22-24, 2019. The symposium is part of a series of ‘PMF’ events and will cover all topics ranging from powders to parts in service.

The programme will highlight those themes that are of common interest to the two organising communities: the development and characterisation of powder, its functionalisation, its role in the shaping, sintering and melting processes, microstructural characterisation, powders and final materials, and the numerical simulation of processes. Both metallic and ceramic materials will be considered.

The programme will include a number of guest lectures, oral and poster presentations, as well as an exhibition of relevant scientific and technical material. Submissions of abstracts for papers are currently open and will close on January 15, 2019. While the conference is primarily focused on French industry and academia, international contributions are welcome and papers may be presented in French or English.

On May 24, the final day of the symposium, three facility visits will be available to attendees: Umicore Specialty Powders France, CEA-Liten Grenoble, and AIP Primerica – Grenoble INP. Registration for Poudres2019 is now open, and will be available at discounted early-bird rates until March 31, 2019. Further information is available via the event website.
