CISRI-HIPEX Technology Co., Ltd. (HIPEX), headquartered in Beijing, China, has reported continued growth in its Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) equipment and processing services business, including more than 30 HIP machine sales in 2026 and the expansion of its domestic service network. The company has also announced an ASME certification milestone for its HIPEX 300ARC Advanced Rapid Cool machine as it looks to strengthen its position in international markets.

A wholly owned subsidiary of the China Iron & Steel Research Institute Group (CISRI), HIPEX develops and manufactures HIP equipment and provides processing services for applications including Additive Manufacturing, aerospace, energy, medical technology and tooling.

Sinter-based Additive Manufacturing: Beyond the hype, towards industrial success

The company reports that it now operates seven HIP service centres across China, with more than 35 presses installed and operating at high utilisation. HIPEX also claims to hold a leading position in China’s HIP market based on equipment sales and processing-services revenues. Among the machines in its service network is the HIPEX 1850, located at its Qingdao facility, which the company reports is the largest HIP press in China. The machine has a working zone measuring 1,690 mm in diameter and 3,500 mm in height, with a maximum operating temperature of 1,300°C and pressure of 140 MPa.

In addition to its domestic expansion, HIPEX reports that its HIPEX 300ARC, which incorporates Advanced Rapid Cool technology, has achieved approval under ASME requirements. The rapid cooling capability is intended to provide greater control over material processing and potentially reduce overall processing cycle times.

The company’s HIPEX 300 platform includes a working zone of 260 mm diameter × 500 mm height, a maximum operating temperature of 2,000°C and a maximum pressure of 200 MPa.

The reported ASME approval represents a further step in HIPEX’s efforts to establish its equipment in international markets, where compliance with recognised engineering and pressure vessel standards is an important consideration.

HIPEX is also undertaking CE testing and associated conformity assessment activities as part of its plans to expand into Europe and other international markets.
