Wohlers Report 2025 shows global Additive Manufacturing industry growth over 9%
April 8, 2025

The Wohlers Report 2025 has stated that the global Additive Manufacturing industry grew by 9.1% to $21.8 billion in 2024. Most of this growth was attributed to the AM industry’s continuing expansion in Asia – particularly in China. Europe and the Middle East (EMEA) and the Americas saw either slight growth or decline, the report claimed.
The report also noted that revenue for AM machine manufacturers declined, whereas revenue for other segments of the industry grew, with material producers achieving the highest year-on-year growth.
Information gathered by the Wohlers Associates team suggests that although the weighted average growth rates in the AMER and EMEA were ±5%, many companies in these regions have experienced double-digit positive revenue growth rates, further highlighting the importance of strategy and market positioning.

The 475-page Wohlers Report 2025 features contributions from over 230 experts and hundreds of companies across six continents. Through its gathered data, the report covers current market developments, individual user industries and technologies, investments, and supply chain readiness. It also analyses and presents the results of government-sponsored and academic research projects.
The report also offers over forty country-specific reports to provide a detailed snapshot of the Additive Manufacturing industry worldwide.
To broaden the report’s reach to a wider range of organisations, Wohlers Associates is now also offering Wohlers Report 2025 through a licensing model. The report is available to buy or license here.
