ValCUN showcases its deployable Additive Manufacturing technology during open day

ValCUN, headquartered in Ghent, Belgium, recently held an open day, opening the doors of its new facility to an audience of industry professionals, partners, and technology enthusiasts. The event – co-created by the 3DoP consortium, a European funded project that aims to empower SME’s in Additive Manufacturing – allowed attendees to explore ValCUN’s metal AM technology & its place in the industry, engage with experts, and witness live demonstrations.
The event began with an opening speech by Sofie Bracke, a government official from Ghent, followed by a welcome from ValCUN’s founders Jonas Galle and Jan De Pauw. Guests were taken on guided tours of the facility, where they witnessed live Additive Manufacturing demonstrations showcasing the power and potential of ValCUN’s deployable technology.
The event also hosted the following presentations:
- ‘Current Status of the Metal AM Industry’
- ‘Metal Additive Manufacturing & the HVAC Industry’
- ’The Contribution of This Technology to the Belgian AM Ecosystem & First Integration Results at Sirris’
- ‘Empowering SMEs in Additive Manufacturing’
- ‘The Economic and Ecological Benefits of Using Additive Manufacturing’
The event concluded with a networking session, where attendees had the chance to exchange ideas over food and drinks.
