Tekna to host webinar on powder processing through RF plasma technology

July 14, 2020

Tekna, a subsidiary of Arendals Fossekompani ASA with its headquarters in Sherbrooke, Canada, will host a webinar on powder processing through RF plasma technology on July 15 and 20, 2020. The webinar, presented by Dr Romain Vert, will highlight the capabilities of Tekna’s RF plasma technology, and will feature the first public demonstration of its 15 kWh spheroidisation system.

Tekna’s induction plasma technology is engineered for applications such as nanomaterials synthesis, powder spheroidisation and aerospace applications. Its scale-up capacity is said to meet the needs of research applications, as well as industrial applications such as for microelectronics, energy storage, Powder Metallurgy, materials refurbishing, waste management and space re-entry simulation.

Dr Vert is Global Sales Director for Plasma Systems. He holds a PhD in the field of Material Science and Processes from the University of Limoges, and has overseen Tekna’s R&D department, business development and sales activities since joining the company eight years ago.

The webinar will begin at 11 am (UTC-4) on July 15 and 11 am (UTC+2) on July 20. The duration will be thirty-five minutes, including Dr Vert’s presentation and a ten-minute question and answer session.
