Solukon chooses Machine Tool Systems Inc as distributor for expansion in Canadian AM market

June 9, 2021

Solukon Maschinenbau GmbH, Augsburg, Germany, has selected Machine Tool Systems Inc., Toronto, Ontario, Canada, as a new distributor, as the company looks to expand its Additive Manufacturing technology offering in Canada.

As the demand for automated and secure depowdering of metal Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB) AM parts continues to grow, Machine Tool Systems Inc. has partnered with Solukon to distribute the company’s depowdering systems. Machine Tool Systems, represented by President John Manley, will help potential customers explore the Solukon Smart Powder Recuperation (SPR®) technology.

Founded in 1998, Machine Tool Systems Inc. specialises in Additive Manufacturing solutions and provides third-party products to meet the needs of their customers. In Canada, Machine Tool Systems Inc. already represents German OEM EOS among others, and it is said to be for this reasons that Solukon has selected the company to be its experienced AM partner.

“All Solukon systems are compatible with the systems of German OEM EOS. Canadian prospects of Machine Tool Systems Inc., therefore, rely on a qualified partner who is both perfectly familiar with the top-of-the-line systems for 3D printing and for depowdering,” stated Michael Sattler, Global Sales Director of Solukon. “All the best to John Manley and his team.”

John Manley, president of Machine Tool Systems Inc., commented, “We are pleased to represent Solukon on the growing Canadian AM market. Powder removal often is one of the pain points in industrial Additive Manufacturing. By partnering with Solukon we are closing the gap between manufacturing and post processing for our customers.”
