Rapid.Tech 3D postponed until June 2021
January 20, 2021
The organiser of Rapid.Tech 3D, originally scheduled to take place at the beginning of May in Erfurt, Germany, has announced it will now take place June 22–23, 2021. The conference and accompanying exhibition will include in-person and virtual elements, to ensure those unable to travel can still participate.
“The current infection rate, and its expected continuation, are making it difficult to prepare properly for the event over the coming weeks and to ensure the usual high standard of quality. In particular, it is difficult for exhibitors to commit to the event in the current situation. To take this into account, we have decided to focus on maintaining the exceptional calibre of the specialist conference and the accompanying exhibition, and to postpone the event until the early summer,” explained Michael Kynast, CEO of Messe Erfurt GmbH.
Attendees will be able to either visit the Rapid.Tech 3D specialist conference in person at the venue in the Messe Erfurt Congress Center or follow it via the online stream. The theme for Rapid.Tech 3D 2021 will be sustainability, with all of the planned forums and the exhibition focusing on this issue.
In addition to the established sessions on AM Science; Automotive & Mobility; Aviation; Medical, Dental & Orthopaedic Technology; Software, Processes & Design; and Tool, Model & Mould Making, two new subject areas have been added to the agenda for 2021: AM in Construction Engineering & Architecture and News from AM.
The forum AM in Construction Engineering & Architecture addresses the advantages of generative processes for the realisation of complex forms, along with highly-flexible, resource-efficient and cost-effective construction. News from AM will look to the future of AM, focusing on processes and materials that surpass the technologies currently in use, but are already well-suited to practical application.
Interested exhibitors will also have the opportunity to present their products, developments and services at the accompanying exhibition in the Congress Center.
