National Science Foundation announces student grants for PowderMet and AMPM2022
October 13, 2021
The Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF) has announced that a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant will be provided to select students from US colleges and universities to attend the PowderMet2022 and AMPM2022 conferences, scheduled to take place June 12–15 in Portland, Oregon, USA. NSF Grant Awards will cover the full registration fee and hotel accommodation in double occupancy.
The support from NSF offers more students the opportunity to exchange ideas with leading researchers and engineers from worldwide industrial and governmental facilities, as well as with students and faculty from both domestic and international universities.
Student participants will learn of the latest research areas and results in Powder Metallurgy fields of interest, not only expanding their field of knowledge but potentially inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers who are ideally suited to shape the future of PM and metal Additive Manufacturing.
Applicants must be from US institutions and are required to attend the entire conference, submit a poster on engineering activities at their institution, and provide a twenty-five-minute presentation. Recipients are responsible for the cost of their own transportation and meals outside of the included conference events.
