MIM2022 to go forward as hybrid event

January 7, 2022

The Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF) has announced that the MIM2022: International Conference on Injection Molding of Metals, Ceramics and Carbides, scheduled to take place February 21–23, 2022, will now be presented in a hybrid format, with the option to attend in person or virtually. All registered technical session delegates will also now be able to attend the event’s popular PIM Tutorial.

Alongside the keynote ‘Medical Device Challenges for MIM and PM Components’ by Gary Jaworek, Johnson & Johnson – Medical Devices, MIM2022 is expected to feature over twenty-five technical presentations from worldwide industry experts.

“We know travel plans are uncertain again due to the recent omicron surge, but we are moving forward with our campaign for a professionally rewarding conference,” stated James P Adams, Executive Director/CEO, MPIF. “Metal Injection Moulding continues to be an innovative technology. We must ensure that all speakers are given the platform to present their work, while providing an opportunity for design engineers, materials scientists, and end users to hone their knowledge, regardless of travel restrictions that could have made participating impossible. Vaccinations and boosters allow for in-person events to be held, while virtual options provide opportunities for remote technology advancement.”

The full ‘MIM2022 Goes Hybrid’ message from the MPIF is available to watch here.

Advance registration rates are available for those who register before January 14. The full programme and registration details are available at the event’s site.
