Impact Innovations to highlight key Cold Spray applications and developments

Impact Innovations GmbH, based in Rattenkirchen, Germany, has announced a series of case studies that highlight key applications and developments in Cold Spray technology. Over a ten-week campaign, the company will discuss topics ranging from the use of Additive Manufacturing for rocket nozzles and fusion reactor coatings to medical applications such as porous bio-implants or advanced corrosion-resistant surfaces.

The campaign aims to demonstrate how Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing delivers viable, scalable solutions to real-world industrial challenges, combining solid-state material processing with application-driven developments.
The series has begun with a materials-focused week and will continue every Tuesday. Each will focus on an application produced by Impact’s EvoCSII Cold Spray machines, including:
- Ductile materials in the as-sprayed state using N₂
- Rocket combustion chamber and nozzle manufacturing (C103)
- Hybrid heat sinks
- Porous coatings for bio-implants
- Nuclear fusion plasma-facing components
- Composite wear coatings
- Corrosion-resistant repair
- and more

Targeting engineers, researchers, and decision-makers across industries, each post in the series will be accompanied by videos, images, insights, and technical context.
