January 17, 2020

Buehler, an ITW Company headquartered in Lake Bluff, Illinois, USA, has entered into a partnership with Mess Servicios Metrologicos S. de R.L. de C.V. (Grupo Mess) a supplier of scientific equipment and services, specialising in metrology, based in Queretaro City, Mexico. As part of the partnership, Grupo Mess has been named Buehler’s official distributor for metallographic and hardness equipment in Mexico.

According to Buehler, the partnership will provide customers based in Mexico with local support for their metallographic product and service needs, for product inspection or quality control laboratories. Grupo Mess will offer the company’s complete line of metallography solutions for sample preparation, materials characterisation and hardness testing.

Industrial manufacturing quality control labs in Mexico are expected to benefit from Grupo Mess’s team of proven industry experts, offering local sales support, quick service response and a stocked consumables warehouse located mainly in Querétaro for fast fulfilment of orders. Grupo Mess is also expected to maintain an onsite Buehler metallography and hardness testing laboratory, where trained staff will provide metallographic tests based on ASTM and ISO standards.

Marcelo Zanusso, Latin America Regional Manager for Buehler, stated, “We are excited to partner with Mess, an outstanding distributor with in-depth technical knowledge, experienced service team and impeccable standards. The Mess management is familiar with Buehler products and the unique requirements of Buehler customers.”

“With three locations and a complete service department, Mess will provide all of Mexico with the necessary metallographic products and services,” Zanusso continued. “I look forward to working with Mess and providing outstanding care to the plants and research centres in all sectors including automotive, aerospace, electronics, metals and universities.”

Oscar Morales, Grupo Mess General Manager, commented, “We are honoured to take on the Buehler line of metallographic and Wilson hardness testing products. As a solution-based company, we promise Buehler customers uncompromising support, a dedicated sales team, knowledgeable application specialists and expert installation, training and service.”

Our team includes seasoned professionals in metallography and we look forward to continuing this legacy throughout Mexico,” he added. “We are focused on offering top solutions to our customers and for this we have aligned with Buehler for the most innovative metallographic equipment that helps customers exceed their expectations. Mess also carries the complete line of Buehler consumables for obtaining the best results, as well as highly trained personnel that can deliver solutions for metallography or hardness testing.”
