Formnext Forum Tokyo has opened exhibitor registration for its 2021 event, which will be held from 28–29 September at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center, Hamamatsucho Hall. The event, organised by Messe Frankfurt Japan Ltd, will combine product showcasing with specialist seminars covering Additive Manufacturing across various Japanese user industries.

Since its launch in 2019, Formnext Forum Tokyo has gradually expanded in scale, becoming well-known as a forum for business exchange and networking opportunities, where the next generation of intelligent industrial production comes together. Its 2020 edition welcomed twenty-nine exhibitors and 710 visitors despite the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

“Most of the trade visitors here have come with a clear purpose and a strong desire to establish a business relationship,” stated Hiroshi Takahara, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Machine Tool Co Ltd.

The 2021 edition of Formnext Forum Tokyo will invite renowned lecturers from Japan and abroad to conduct seminars relevant to a wide range of AM industry visitors. With the business community facing its greatest challenge in recent years, the event hopes to create opportunities to cultivate new markets and invigorate industry players to listen to the voices of customers in person, rather than online.

To ensure a safe business environment for participants the organiser will put all of the appropriate safety and hygiene measures in place to protect participants during the duration of the fair, helping to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The 2021 edition will see experts converge from a wide range of industry sectors, including:

  • Automation and handling
  • Automotive, aviation and aerospace
  • Construction and architecture
  • Consumer health care
  • Dental technology
  • Medical technology
  • Electronic engineering
  • Electronics and domestic appliances
  • Mechanical engineering and plant engineering
  • Packaging
  • Research and development
  • Watches and jewellery

On the exhibition floor, items related to AM across the entire range of materials and processes will be showcased, including metals, polymers and other materials, as well as every step along the process chains in industrial production, right up to series production.
