Farsoon Technologies, based in Changsha, China, has announced upgrades to its FS1521M Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB) Additive Manufacturing machine series, including an increase in lasers, powder-recycling enhancements and multiple configuration options.

The FS1521M-U for industrial production can now support thirty-two 500 W fibre lasers. This enhancement is designed to enable faster mass production, improving scalability and cost effectiveness.

The upgraded FS1521M series now also features four overflow/recycling powder hoppers and can support up to four powder recycling units, with a reported single-unit processing rate of 90L/h and a combined maximum processing rate of 360L/h. The dual-cartridge design and parallel dual powder conveying units enables a steady powder supply for large-scale parts to support more efficient production.

The series’ dual-layer airflow system with permanent filtration aims to provide uniform smoke removal, crucial for large-scale builds. Automated powder handling improves safety and efficiency.

First launched in 2023, the sixteen-laser FS1521M series features a standard build volume of 1530 × 1530 x 850 mm and the option for a higher build volume (1530 x 1530 x 1650 mm) with the FS1521M-U. Both machines are equipped with Farsoon’s multi-laser overlap algorithm, which enables consistent mechanical properties across a build. Since its debut, the series has been adopted by industrial customers worldwide in markets such as aerospace, automotive, and energy.

Farsoon will be showcasing its technology at TCT Asia – held March 17-19, 2025 – from Hall 7.1, Booth 7F05.
