Farsoon Technologies, headquartered in Changsha, China, has reported a major milestone for the Additive Manufacturing machine maker, with worldwide sales of its large-format ‘meter-scale’ metal AM machines now totalling 150.

Among this size category of machine is the company’s flagship FS1521M series, featuring a build envelope up to 1530 x 1530 x 1650 mm and up to 32 x 500W lasers. This model has seen twenty sales and has gained traction for applications like titanium structural components and copper alloy thermal machines, where size and precision are critical.

The rapid adoption reflects growing demand for large-format, high-throughput metal AM in sectors like aerospace, where Farsoon’s technology has evolved from a prototyping tool to a production-line staple. Pioneering users, including Falcontech, who have deployed nearly forty meter-scale Farsoon metal systems in dedicated production lines since 2019.
