EPMA’s EuroAM Additive Manufacturing Seminar 2020 to take place online

The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) reports that due to continued concerns regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, its EuroAM Additive Manufacturing Seminar 2020, which was scheduled to take place in Augsburg, Germany, on December 2–4, will now be held online.

The event, which would have been hosted by the Fraunhofer Research Institute for Casting, Composite and Processing Technology (IGCV), will now take place digitally over two days with the dates of the new event being December 2–3. Fraunhofer IGCV is expected to host the 2021 edition.

The online seminar will include presentations on the latest advancements in Additive Manufacturing including technical and academic presentations, the latest technological process & product innovations commercial presentations, and several online publications.

The event will focus on topics that include the basics of powder-based metal AM technologies such as Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB), Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-EB), Direct Energy Deposition (DED), Binder Jetting (BJT) and the whole AM manufacturing chain starting from powder production to post-processes such as Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP). Additionally, a special focus will be on Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) and multi-material processing issues.

The registration deadline is November 27, 2020. There is a discounted rate available for all registrations made before October 30, 2020.
