DN Solutions, based in Seoul, Korea, will showcase AM2CNC, the company’s integrated Additive Manufacturing and CNC machining workflow, at IMTS 2026, scheduled for September 14–19, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois, USA. DN Solutions will demonstrate how a metal preform progresses from Additive Manufacturing to a finished, ready-to-use part on a single connected platform. AM2CNC incorporates the DLX 450 metal AM machine and the DVF 5000 2nd Gen 5-axis machining centre with an Automatic
Workpiece Changer (AWC).

According to DN Solutions, as much as 30–50% of an additive component’s cost occurs after the build, in finishing, drilling, tapping, inspection, and the handoffs between separate machines and separate vendors. Each handoff adds delay and invites quality variation, states the company. AM2CNC is intended to carry the workpiece from AM preform to qualified part inside one workflow, under a single vendor with no integration gap.

The DLX 450 is a Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB) machine engineered for industrial-scale AM. It has a 450 x 450 x 470 mm build chamber with up to four Yb fibre lasers, scanning at speeds up to 7 m/s, delivering high build rates with stable, repeatable quality.

The DVF 5000 is a compact 5-axis vertical machining centre engineered for lights-out automation and intricate workpiece geometries. Spindles up to 20,000 r/min deliver up to 230 Nm of torque for demanding applications, and the AWC keeps the machine cutting through unmanned, continuous operation, finishing preforms around the clock.

AM2CNC is intended to apply precision CNC finishing to complete the workflow from preform to certified, ready-to-use part. As no two preforms leave the build chamber exactly alike, AM2CNC measures each part in situ and adjusts the finishing programme accordingly, ensuring the toolpath is referenced to the actual preform rather than an idealised nominal model.
