CADS Additive, a subsidiary of CADS GmbH headquartered in Perg, Austria, and Emuge-Franken, headquartered in Lauf an der Pegnitz, Germany, have announced plans for more intensive cooperation, with the aim of optimising the entire Additive Manufacturing processes chain, including post-processing stages.

Emuge-Franken provides precision tools while CADS Additive supplies data preparation algorithms and software packages for Additive Manufacturing processes.

As almost every additively manufactured metal part requires a post-processing cutting step, CADS Additive was seeking a relationship with tool manufacturers in order to more accurately depict the entire process chain of AM in its software products. In strengthening its cooperation with Emuge-Franken, the company hopes to link data preparation steps to the post-processing requirements. This deeper partnership is expected to translate into better service, allowing the company to offer more tailored suggestions to meet customer’s AM needs.

“We regard this technology partnership as an essential success factor for the future,” stated Josef Kröll, Sales Manager for Austria at Emuge-Franken. “By means of bundled know-how, we want to help the customers to attain additional increases in efficiency and productivity.
