BEAMIT Group, Fornovo di Taro, Italy, has signed a five-year contract with aerospace, defence, and security company Leonardo, headquartered in Rome, Italy. Under the agreement, the companies will further strengthen their cooperation, with BEAMIT supplying a number of additively manufactured components over the coming years.

The two companies have collaborated since 2017, working to develop and qualify the Additive Manufacturing process and define the steps needed for standardisation. Currently, Leonardo has over 100 parts qualified with BEAMIT installed on key aircraft, such as the M345, M346 and C27J.

“This is huge achievements for both parties considering all the testing performed, risk analysis, process validation and standards which are a MUST for the Aviation Industry in order to provide safe components to the end customer,” BEAMIT stated.
