AMFG Corp, Austin, Texas, USA, has announced that it is partnering with M Aerospace, based in San Antonio, Texas, USA, to implement its MES solution and Instant Quote tool to streamline its operations. Established in 2018, M Aerospace seeks to provide efficient solutions in the USA and Latin America, focussing on developing Additive Manufacturing technologies for the aerospace, defence and automotive industries.

M Aerospace points to the difficulty in managing projects from multiple platforms as one of the challenges the company faced before implementing AMFA. As co-founder and CEO of M Aerospace Juan Carlos Munguia shared, “we offer five different technologies which include SLA, FDM, powder-based technologies either in polymers and plastics i.e. MJS and SLS and DMLS and proprietary ED technologies. We were looking for a solution that was able to handle all these different technologies on a single platform.”

“Moreover, we have operations in Mexico and the US so a solution that allows us to manage our production in both regions was a key consideration when choosing a software solution,” Munguia added.

AMFG’s MES and Instant Quote tool provided M Aerospace with the connectivity and customisation that the company required.

“Your solution was really customisable compared to other 3D printing instant quote software. These options are more “plug and play”. We wanted something that was focused on us and AMFG understood what we were looking for,” Munguia stated. “Moreover, we work with highly regulated industries like aerospace and automotive so we wanted a platform that was capable of managing all these orders. AMFG’s solution allows us to manage the full life cycle of production from quoting to shipping.”

Since using AMFG, M Aerospace reported time savings on administrative tasks, including a 20-30% reduction in CAD file review time. Now, staff have greater capacity to focus on production such as sending files to manufacturing and post-processing.

Implementation Specialist Tudor Sucala added, “We’re delighted that AMFG can support M Aerospace to achieve more efficient and streamlined production. We’re looking forward to seeing the company go from strength to strength with AMFG.”
