AMEXCI, located in Karlskoga, Sweden, and Nikon SLM Solutions AG, based in Lübeck, Germany, have announced a significant expansion of their partnership. In order to move into large-scale serial production, AMEXCI has invested in the Nikon SLM Solutions NXG XII 600 Additive Manufacturing machine. The deal also includes an additional SLM 500 700W, specifically for the Additive Manufacturing of titanium.

The Nikon SLM Solutions NXG XII 600 is designed to manufacture parts with dimensions up to 600 x 600 x 600 mm and features twelve lasers. It is reported to provide performance that is up to ten times more efficient compared to existing machines in the market. The adoption of this technology by AMEXCI aims to meet the growing demand for large-scale, high-quality, serially produced parts.

“We are thrilled to deepen our collaboration with Nikon SLM Solutions,” shared Edvin Resebo, CEO of AMEXCI. “Investing in the NXG XII 600 platform is a critical step in our journey towards large scale serial production. This technology not only enhances our production capabilities but also aligns with our vision of leading the industry towards a sustainable manufacturing future.”

The partnership between AMEXCI and Nikon SLM Solutions is said to reflect a shared vision for innovation and excellence in Additive Manufacturing.

“In partnership with AMEXCI, we’re not just aiming to meet the current standards of Additive Manufacturing — we’re setting new ones. The introduction of the NXG XII 600 into AMEXCI’s capabilities marks a pivotal point in our shared journey. With this machine’s unrivalled power and size, we are broadening the horizons of what’s possible in the industry, bringing to life larger, more complex parts with a speed that sets a new benchmark for efficiency. This is a leap forward in our mission to transform how the world manufactures, and we’re just getting started,” stated Sam O’Leary, CEO of Nikon SLM Solutions.
