Jingye Additive Manufacturing Technology Co, Ltd, has added two further Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB)metal Additive Manufacturing machines from Eplus3D, Hangzhou, China. The company has added an EP-M1550 and EP-M1250, boosting its large-scale AM capabilities.

Jingye operates a fleet of AM machines, having adopted the technology early in its manufacturing strategy. The company also has in-house R&D and offers AM part production, laser cladding, and the production and sale of metal powders.

The EP-M1550 and EP-M1250 will add large-scale build capacity to the company. The EP-M1550 features a maximum build size of 1558 x 1558 x 1200 mm and is equipped with sixteen lasers (and an option to increase to twenty-five lasers). The machine employs advanced laser positioning and stitching technology to ensure precise control over large-scale printing.

EP-M1250 is also a large-format, multi-laser metal Additive Manufacturing machine. The machine features a 1250 x 1250 x 1350 mm build envelope and nine lasers. The fibre lasers are available in either 500 W, 700 W or 1000 W configurations and, with a bi-directional powder re-coating method leading to reduced re-coating times, offers a build speed of up to 370 cm3/h.

Both machines are compatible with a wide range of materials, including titanium, aluminium, and nickel alloys; maraging steel, stainless steel and cobalt chrome alloys. They are suited to the direct manufacturing of large-sized, high-precision, and high-performance components in the aerospace and aviation industries, amongst others.
