ModuleWorks expands facilities

ModuleWorks GmbH has announced the planned expansion of its facilities in Aachen, Germany, said to be the biggest investment in the firm’s history. The new building is expected to be finished in 2022, with the company growing to around 250 employees.

“We want to extend our additive, robotics and automation technology, and to do this we need more office and lab space,” explained founder Dr Yavuz Murtezaoglu.

Although the initial decision to create additional workspace was made in 2019, the signing of the contract had to be postponed due to COVID-19.

ModuleWorks was founded in 2003, with the company operating from a rented office with around forty employees. In 2012, the company moved to its current headquarters, renting two of the building’s four floors to other companies. In the decade since, the company expanded to fill the entire building and now requires an additional facility.

ModuleWorks offers a range of CAD/CAM and simulation software components aimed at multiple industries.
