Link3D, Boulder, Colorado, USA, has announced that it will be hosting its first ever Asia-Pacific (APAC) Additive Manufacturing Meetup to drive knowledge exchange, inspire growth in the market, and offer networking opportunities for organisations and individuals in the APAC region. The event is scheduled to take place May 6, from 3PM–6PM SGT.

Presently, AM users and businesses may lack adequate platforms to learn and grow their capabilities to scale Additive Manufacturing across the APAC region, explains Link3D. Neighbouring countries throughout APAC have expressed interest in collaborating across borders, but, with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic preventing collective opportunities, the region has missed a designated medium for networking and the exchange of ideas.

Sessions for the APAC AM Meetup will focus on the current AM landscape per country, and are as follows:

  • The Changing Face of Manufacturing in Australia
  • Get to know India’s Additive Manufacturing Scenario
  • Additive Manufacturing Landscape in Japan
  • State of Additive Manufacturing Industrialization in Singapore
  • New Challenges Facing 3D Printing in China 2021
  • Additive Manufacturing Landscape in South Korea
  • APAC Panel: Explore Additive Manufacturing Opportunities & Trends Across the Asia-Pacific Region

“It is important to increase awareness on how standards can enable an organisation to adopt and scale Additive Manufacturing technologies. This presents an opportunity for businesses in the Asia-Pacific region to utilise standards and improve product quality,” stated Alexander Liu, Head of Additive Manufacturing Programs, Asia, ASTM International CoE.

This virtual Asia-Pacific (APAC) Additive Manufacturing Meet-up will allow AM users to cross-pollinate new opportunities from the comfort of their own home. The APAC AM Meetup is also offering companies (OEMs, service bureaus and contract manufacturers), vendors (hardware, materials, software, resellers), and academia to reserve a REMO virtual table, so they can have a virtual meeting space to connect with the community.

Registration is now open through Link3D’s site.
