Beehive Industries invests $70M in Ohio expansion
Beehive Industries, headquartered in Denver, Colorado, USA, has announced plans to expand its operations in southwest Ohio, creating more than 200 jobs and investing $70 million in the region. The announcement was made at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026 in conjunction with regional partners, including Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, JobsOhio and REDI Cincinnati.
Beehive Industries produces additively manufactured jet engines for uncrewed aerial defence applications and has developed an integrated US supply chain with in-house manufacturing capabilities intended to reduce engine development and production times. According to the company, the expansion will support advanced aerospace manufacturing, workforce growth and long-term investment in Ohio.
The State of Ohio and JobsOhio have built a collaborative, statewide Team Ohio economic development model intended to deliver certified, construction-ready sites before demand. This enables companies such as Beehive to move in within months rather than years.

According to the company, its Frenzy engine has entered full-rate production following the award of a $29.7 million contract from the US Air Force to support development of the Frenzy engine family.
In June, Beehive also announced plans to more than double its metal AM production capacity through what it described as ‘the largest publicly disclosed order’ for EOS metal Additive Manufacturing machines. The company also acquired Greater Cincinnati-based precision machining companies Able Tool Corporation and Planet Products Corporation, establishing a production machining centre of excellence in the region. Beehive states that these investments are intended to support annual production of more than 8,000 engines.
The project is expected to receive support through a package of state incentives linked to job creation. Beehive intends to apply for a Job Creation Tax Credit through the Ohio Department of Development, while JobsOhio also plans to provide financial assistance once a final agreement has been completed.
