UnionTech, headquartered in Shanghai, China, has announced the delivery of 20 metal Additive Manufacturing machines to Dongguan Huanya (Huanya3D), a leading rapid prototyping and small-batch production service provider based in Dongguan, China. Huanya3D provides both metal and polymer Additive Manufacturing, as well as CNC machining.

Huanya3D already lists over 150 AM machines in operation from UnionTech, including a number of metal AM machines. In addition to a wide range of polymers, it offers titanium and stainless steel.

UnionTech’s latest metal AM machine is the MUEES430 PRO, an industrial machine designed for high-efficiency batch production. It is equipped with four 500W Yb-fiber lasers and a build volume of 430 × 340 × 330 mm. The MUEES430 PRO is reported to enable fast, high-precision metal Additive Manufacturing for aerospace, mold manufacturing, and other demanding applications.

Commenting on Huanya3D’s order, and on news that another AM company, Dongguan Keheng, will add a further 100 UnionTech polymer AM machines to its 1,600+ fleet, UnionTech’s North American sales partner North Channel 3D stated that manufacturers around the world are increasingly adopting Additive Manufacturing as a strategic production technology, rather than simply a prototyping tool.

According to North Channel 3D, large-scale machine installations such as this demonstrate that manufacturers are moving beyond proof-of-concept projects and integrating Additive Manufacturing into long-term production strategies. Such investments require confidence in machine performance, material supply, service support and overall return on investment.

North Channel 3D said it is working to support customers across the USA, Canada and Mexico with application development, service, training, materials and spare parts.
