6K Additive, a division of 6K, based in North Andover, Massachusetts, USA, has appointed Ampere Alloys, located in Saint-Ouen-l’Aumône, France, as an official distributor for the European market. The strategic partnership will give European manufacturers direct access to 6K Additive’s full suite of sustainably produced metal powders, including titanium, nickel-based superalloys, and refractory metals.

Chanel: When manufacturing process becomes part of luxury value

As a specialist in metals and ferro-alloys for advanced industrial applications, Ampere Alloys brings extensive distribution logistics, regional expertise, and a robust commercial network to the partnership. The collaboration combines 6K Additive’s materials with Ampere Alloys’ rigorous quality standards, including its ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality system management and AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) status.

6K Additive produces its metal powders using the proprietary UniMelt microwave plasma production process. This technology enables the company to upcycle industrial and defence-related scrap metal into spherical powders, reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions.

“Expanding our footprint into Europe requires a partner that shares our uncompromising dedication to quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction,” stated Frank Roberts, CEO of 6K Additive. “Ampere Alloys is the ideal partner to champion our sustainable metal powders in Europe. Their established logistical network and technical expertise will ensure that aerospace, defence, medical, and energy customers across the continent can rapidly integrate our premium materials into their production workflows.”

Through this agreement, Ampere Alloys will handle sales, first-line technical support, and localised distribution from its network of twelve European warehouses, ensuring quick delivery times on both large and small quantities of material and responsive local service for the Additive Manufacturing industry.
