Amace Solutions Pvt Ltd, a company of the Ace Micromatic Group (AMG) based in Bangalore, India, has launched its compact STLR 120 Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB) Additive Manufacturing machine.

Through its minimised setup time and reduced powder requirements, the STLR 120 is designed to simplify AM adoption in research laboratories, universities, and startups, as well as more broadly in tooling and medical technology applications.

The STLR 120 has a Ø120 × 200 mm build volume and is equipped with a 400 W fibre laser capable of processing layers between 20–60 μm. The machine has a footprint of 95 × 125 × 175 cm and operates on single-phase 220 V, 50 Hz with a peak electrical load 3.7 kW.

A range of qualified materials are supported, including AlSi10Mg, stainless steels (SS316L, 17-4PH, 15-5PH), maraging steel (18Ni300), CoCr, Inconel (IN625, IN718), and Ti-6Al-4V. The machine is reported to have a short material changeover time when using the same alloy and can begin its first builds with 1 kg of powder.

The STLR 120 will be displayed at Formnext 2025 on Amace’s booth (Hall 11, F51). A demonstration unit is also available at AceMicromatic International GmbH in Nesselwang, Germany for test builds and evaluations.
