Ursa Major launches alliance to bolster Additive Manufacturing in US defence

Ursa Major Technologies Inc, located in Berthoud, Colorado, USA, announced that it has launched the Alliance for the American Additive Manufacturing Ecosystem (AAAME) in partnership with Dyndrite, EOS, and nLight. The focused coalition will work to accelerate the adoption of AM for national security through standard, secure and scalable processes.
“The United States cannot afford fragile supply chains subject to international economic disturbances or decade-long timelines to deliver critical national security systems,” said Dan Jablonsky, CEO of Ursa Major.
“This Alliance brings together key players in the AM ecosystem to advance a more responsive and robust industrial base. It’s about aligning policy, innovation, and execution so our warfighters have what they need, when they need it.”
To achieve its goals, the AAAME will work to align key players from government, industry, and academia through working groups and direct collaboration across the government space. Ultimately, the founders intend for the alliance to enable advanced physics-based qualification to support the rapid deployment of Additive Manufacturing machines.
Alliance members will share best industry practices and data, educating the workforce through hands-on workshops and virtual topic-specific collaboration sessions, alongside responsible sourcing aligned with US national security interests.
Those interested in joining the alliance can contact Ursa Major’s government relations team.
