Project AMable makes its first Open Call for additively manufactured product ideas
August 23, 2018
Project AMable has launched its first Open Call to find innovative ideas for additively manufactured products. Coordinated by Fraunhofer ILT, Aachen, Germany, AMable is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and runs under the umbrella of European Commission’s initiative ICT Innovation for Manufacturing SMEs (I4MS) with the aim of accelerating the uptake of Additive Manufacturing by SMEs.
For this particular Open Call, AMable is looking for original ideas for an additively manufactured product that is economically and technologically viable. Experimentation Teams, composed of an EU based SME in the ‘supplier’ role and a ‘user’ representing the envisioned product’s market segment, will be guided by an AMable partner in a ‘tutor’ role.
The selected teams will be supported by AMable to develop an idea towards a final product by offering the services across all steps from design to finish. The deadline for applications is October 1, 2018.
