One Click Metal, based in Tamm, Germany, has introduced Interchangeable Build Modules for its BOLDseries of metal Additive Manufacturing machines. Using different build modules enables users to convert a single machine into a multifunctional system that can cater to a range of use cases with diverse requirements. Each module is optimised for a specific purpose, providing users the flexibility to choose the most suitable one for their application.

Every build module is designed with identical mechanical and electrical interfaces, enabling simple integration with the BOLDseries machine. Each machine can automatically identify which module has been inserted and make necessary adjustments.

For each of the modules, One Click Metal has highlighted the following attributes:

Standard Build Module

  • Suited to high-productivity metal Additive Manufacturing
  • 150 x 150 x 150 mm build space
  • Enables parallel unpacking, thereby reducing machine downtime

Lab Module

  • Tailored for users working with different powder materials and small precious powder quantities
  • Features a compact 78 x 53 x 90 mm build space
  • Allows seamless testing and Additive Manufacturing with various powder materials without altering the machine‘s interfaces
  • An integrated powder dosing and overflow slot enables easy material changes without extensive cleaning
  • A build plate which can be preheated up to 200°C, enhancing material versatility

Heating Module

  • Designed for additively manufacturing large metal parts with preheated build plates
  • 150 x 150 x 150 mm build space
  • Preheats the build plate up to 200°C, minimising temperature gradients and reducing residual stresses to improve quality and lifetime of certain components
  • Precise temperature control
