India’s 8th International Conference and Exhibition on Additive Manufacturing Technologies announced

AM 2018, the 8th International Conference and Exhibition on Additive Manufacturing Technologies, will be held at The Lalit Ashok in Bangalore, India, from September 7-8, 2018. The event is organised by the Additive Manufacturing Society of India and is expected to have strong relevance to the metal AM industry.

Discussion forums during the event will focus on aerospace, defence, automotive, space, biomedical and industrial applications, as well as uses for AM alongside traditional manufacturing methods such as casting. The agenda is set to include opportunities to network within the key AM markets across the two-day conference and exhibition.

A call for papers has been issued by the organisers for the following conference topics:

  • Design for Additive Manufacturing
  • Latest developments in AM systems
  • Additive Manufacturing materials selection and certification
  • Cutting-edge applications and the latest research developments in:
    • Aerospace
    • Defence
    • Space
    • Automotive
    • Oil & gas
    • Power & energy
    • Tool & die
    • Medical
    • Dental
    • Industrial product design

AM 2018 will be attended by a number of key figures in India’s industry, among them Dr V K Saraswat, Chief Scientific Advisor to the Indian Minister of Defence, and Dr K Sivan, Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
