Incus to unveil its Hammer Pro25 for high-throughput metal AM
Incus GmbH, Vienna, Austria, has announced that it will debut the Hammer Pro25 Vat Photopolymerisation (VPP) Additive Manufacturing machine at Formnext 2025.
The Hammer Pro25 is designed to combine industrial-scale metal Additive Manufacturing with high precision, automation, and throughput. Incus intends for the machine to act as a bridge for manufacturers to move from prototyping to series production of metal components.
The Hammer Pro25 offers continuous, automated production metal parts with material throughput of up to a reported 980 cm3/h, with automated material refill and removal of finished parts. Engineered for 24/7 production, the Hammer Pro25 supports lights-out manufacturing and is equally capable of producing large, heavy-duty parts as well as small, intricate geometries.
The machine offers high resolution, with a lateral resolution of 25 μm, powered by dual scrolling projectors, enabling simultaneous manufacturing on two platforms. The machine also offers a large build volume of 200 × 204.55 × 140 mm and flexible layer thicknesses between 10 and 100 μm.
Additionally, the Hammer Pro25 reportedly offers outstanding surface quality after sintering (Ra approx. 2 μm), often eliminating the need for post-processing. Incus states that the machine offers MIM-like quality in selected customer applications, while allowing every part to be fully customised.
The machine design is intended to enable the highest productivity, and, together with the Evo series, provide a solution for the workflow from R&D and small-series production to mass manufacturing.
The machine also reportedly has a reduced cost per part, which can be a key factor for driving the wider adoption of metal AM in industrial environments.
