On June 6, Sweden’s Höganäs AB celebrated 225 years of business. The company began in 1797 as a coal mining company in the small village of Höganäs. Today, as the world leader in iron and metal powder production, Höganäs has seventeen production sites across eleven countries, providing work to 2,400 employees.

The company’s product portfolio contains more than 3,500 products, including metal powders for sintered components, soft magnetic applications, surface coating, brazing, Additive Manufacturing and many others. Its powders are used in a wide range of industries and applications, where they offer possibilities to create more effective, lighter products with a reduced environmental impact.

“We are very proud of our long history and how we have been able to transform our company repeatedly to meet societal trends and our customers’ demands,” stated Höganäs. “We’re helping industry to make more with less for a more sustainable world!”

The company recently published its 2021 Sustainability Report, in which it outlined progress in its ambitions to reach net-zero targets.
