Altair, based in Troy, Michigan, USA, will host its seminar, ‘Industrialisation of Additive Manufacturing – From Concept to End Product’ at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry, UK, on September 18, 2018. Last held in 2016, the one-day event will feature a range of speakers who will reveal how they are using generative design to innovate through rapid design exploration and the generation of material-efficient, production-ready designs for Additive Manufacturing.

Companies including Airbus, GKN, Airbus-owned Surrey Satellite Technology (SSTL), BMW, Innovate UK and more will present the ways in which they are using simulation-driven design for Additive Manufacturing. Real-world examples from industries including automotive, aerospace, defence and space will be presented  and discussed throughout the day, with the aim of offering attendees practical insights into Additive Manufacturing and Design for AM which can be applied to their own projects.

Altair stated that its seminar is aimed in particular at delegates in roles such as engineering team leader, manager and director, within organisations with an interest in the use of AM and in learning more about the stages involved in the development, design, optimisation and manufacture of AM products.

Registration for Altair’s Additive Manufacturing seminar is free of charge.
