Additive Manufacturing Forum set for March 2018

The Additive Manufacturing Forum will take place in Berlin, Germany, from March 5-6, 2018. The first event in 2017 was attended by more than 450 participants. The organisers state that the 2018 event will again present a user-oriented cross-industry conference programme, supported by the foundation partners Airbus Group, Deutsche Bahn AG, Stratasys GmbH and 3yourmind GmbH.

The opening speech will be given by Dr Reinhold Achatz, CTO, Head of Corporate Function Technology, Innovation, thyssenkrupp AG. Also on the programme will be user reports from Dr Hans Dietl, CTO, Otto Bock HealthCare GmbH, Florens Lichte, Head of Additive Manufacturing, DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung GmbH, Dr Stefan Kienzle, Head of Predevelopment Body and Components, Daimler AG and Peter Sander, Head of Emerging Technologies & Concepts, Airbus Operations GmbH.

In an accompanying exhibition, a number of AM technology, software, material and service providers will showcase their latest offerings. The forum and exhibition are aimed at both beginners and advanced AM technology users from the aerospace, automotive, railway, mechanical engineering, medical technology and science industries.
