BEAMIT SpA, Fornovo di Taro, Italy, has successfully passed a Nadcap audit for heat treating, receiving Nadcap accreditation as a result. The Additive Manufacturing bureau provides services for the AM of both metal and ceramic parts, and as of January 2018 had installed two high vacuum furnaces conforming to standard AMS2750.

On achieving Nadcap accreditation for heat treating, Michele Antolotti, General Manager, BEAMIT, commented, “We are very proud of the result achieved by our Team, regarding Nadcap accreditation audit in heat treating. Our company started his journey into the aerospace field applying the highest procedural standard in order to serve high-end sectors and customers with the same cure and competence.”

“Heat treating Nadcap accreditation is our first milestone,” he continued. “Our next goal is to maintain and extend the same methods and criteria to the whole special process involved in our value chain.”

Michael J Hayward, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Performance Review Institute, which administers Nadcap, stated, “Nadcap audits are conducted using audit criteria developed by experts in that field in the aerospace industry, conducted by people who have dedicated their careers to that field. That is a daunting task for anyone, but BEAMIT SpA has demonstrated that they are up there with the best of them by achieving Nadcap accreditation in heat treating. Congratulations to all the team involved in this effort.”
