International Welding, Joining and Additive Manufacturing conference set to take place in Israel

January 14, 2020

The Welding, Joining and Additive Manufacturing Conference (WJAM) will take place in Tel Aviv, Israel, from January 27–29, 2020. The event will bring together researchers and engineers from Israel and around the world and, in addition to the conference, there will be an exhibition focused on welding, joining and Additive Manufacturing.

The event, which is organised by the Association of Engineers and Architects in Israel (AEAI) in cooperation with the Israel Society of Mechanical Engineers and Aerospace, a part of the AEAI, has a dedicated metal Additive Manufacturing track within the conference as well as an Additive Manufacturing workshop.

Ehud Noff, AEAI Chairman, stated, “The conference is a valuable opportunity for academia and industry to discuss the challenges that they face at the cutting edge of industry. Israeli industry stands at the forefront of high-technology manufacturing, and welding and joining are essential skills that facilitate the manufacture of advanced products for a wide range of industrial applications.”

“With the rapid development of metal Additive Manufacturing in recent years, WJAM 2020 includes a track dedicated to advances in this area. AM is quickly becoming an essential manufacturing process for specialised and complex engineering challenges.”
