NAFEMS to hold Design and Manufacturing Simulation of AM Components seminar
NAFEMS, the International Association for the Engineering Modelling, Analysis and Simulation Community, will hold a one-day seminar the Design and Manufacturing Simulation of Additive Manufacturing Components at the Manufacturing Technology Centre, Coventry, UK, September 28, 2017.
Due to the digital nature of AM, simulation offers vast potential to ensure the benefits of AM can be fully exploited within product design while avoiding failures experienced during the build process. Consequently, it is vital that a simulation workflow is established, providing design, research and manufacturing engineers involved in AM with the tools and guidelines to maximise its true potential.
The NAFEMS seminar is aimed at bringing together leading experts in AM to discuss current challenges, the latest simulation techniques and how they are being deployed by leading companies. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn how industry end users are using Additive Manufacturing technology and how this is being applied to solve challenges, gain understanding of the end-to-end process for Additive Manufacturing and network with individuals involved in Additive Manufacturing.
