BEAMIT installs first EOS M4 ONYX in EMEA
BEAMIT Group, Italy, has installed an EOS M4 ONYX Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB) Additive Manufacturing machine, which EOS reports is the first installation of the machine in the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) region.
The new M4 ONYX expands BEAMIT’s existing EOS capacity, which includes four EOS M 290 machines and four EOS M 400-4 machines.
EOS developed the M4 ONYX for the serial production of large metal components for applications in the aerospace, space, defence, energy and industrial sectors. The company stated that the machine is intended to support increased productivity and scalable manufacturing.
Announcing the installation, BEAMIT stated that it is “proud to be the first company in the EMEA region to welcome the new EOS M4 ONYX.” The company added, “For BEAMIT, investing in advanced technologies means continuing to push the boundaries of industrial Additive Manufacturing and offering our customers even greater production capabilities.”
