AMSIS integrates GENESIS Print Suite with EOS metal AM machines

AMSIS GmbH, based in Bremen, Germany, has announced the integration of its GENESIS Print Suite build preparation software with EOS machine software, developed through the EOS Developer Network. The integration enables users to export build files directly from GENESIS into EOS machine software, including support structures, simulation-based hatching strategies and process parameter sets.
Developed for Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB), GENESIS Print Suite combines thermal simulation, automated core and down-skin zoning, and simulation-based hatching. According to AMSIS, the software can assess overheating risks and calculate hatching strategies in seconds, with the aim of reducing simulation time and the need for trial-and-error testing when developing new parts and materials.

The integration was validated using EOS build jobs, with AMSIS using technical documentation, machine interfaces and support provided through the EOS Developer Network.
“Their team gave us direct access to the technical detail and machine access we needed to validate GENESIS against real EOS build jobs, not just documentation. For our customers, that means a build file leaves GENESIS ready for the EOS machine floor, with no manual rework in between,” stated Jerome Geils-Lindemann, Lead Product Manager at AMSIS.

Rüdiger Herfrid, Senior Product Manager at EOS, added, “AMSIS made full use of our open APIs and worked closely with our EOS Developer Network consultants to achieve a clean and seamless integration with their systems.”
The integration is now available to AMSIS customers operating EOS machines. GENESIS Print Suite is offered as a standalone Build Engine or with additional Smart Hatching and Power Control modules.
