PWR receives 2025 Australian Export Award for motorsport innovation

PWR Advanced Cooling Technology, headquartered in Ormeau, Australia, has been recognised in the Manufacturing and Advanced Materials category at the 2025 Australian Export Awards, celebrating its innovative, Australian-made, high-performance cooling solutions used in race cars globally.
PWR Advanced Cooling Technology crafts bespoke, high-performance cooling solutions for engines, motors and electronics, utilising cutting-edge research. It supplies top racing teams around the world, including the Red Bull Formula 1 team, V8 Supercars and NASCAR.
Although PWR’s roots are in the world of Australian motorsports, breaking into the Formula 1 and NASCAR circuits marked a turning point in its evolution into an international brand. The company now exports its goods worldwide, including to the United States, Japan, Germany, India, and the United Arab Emirates.

PWR is now undergoing a second major pivot, leveraging its technologies and expertise to break into the aerospace and defence industries. Recently, it has secured a contract to supply its products to the United States, enabling the business to employ an additional 10 staff members based in Queensland and demonstrating its value as a viable player outside of motorsport.
Matthew Bryson, CEO at PWR Advanced Cooling Technology, shared, “When our founder, Kees, first purchased a single aluminium furnace to manufacture radiators for V8 supercars, no one could have imagined that a mere 25 years later, we would be cooling the entire Formula 1 grid, let alone exporting heat exchangers for aerospace and defence projects around the world.”

The Australian Export Awards are presented by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) and recognise outstanding, innovative and inspiring exporters.
Minister for Trade and Tourism Don Farrell, stated, “I commend all of this year’s finalists and winners who have collectively generated more than $4 billion in export earnings this last financial year.”
