In June this year, the Court of Parma initiated the liquidation of BEAMIT SpA, headquartered in Fornovo di Taro, Parma. The Italian company, which has been active in metal powder Additive Manufacturing for over 25 years, lists various facilities in Italy and operated 3T Additive Manufacturing in the UK, until its recent acquisition by Austria’s SBO AG.

BEAMIT is reported to have one of the largest fleets of Additive Manufacturing machines in Europe, and specialises in the production of high-end metal AM components for demanding industries, including aerospace, automotive, energy, racing, and industrial engineering.

The appointed liquidator, Dr Paolo Capretti, under the direction of the Court of Parma, has announced the upcoming auction of three BEAMIT’s assets. The first is the aeronautics, space, and defence (ASD) business units located in Fornovo and Rubbiano, Parma. The second will be the sale of the AMI-CNC (ex ZARE) business unit located in Boretto, Reggio Emilia. The third auction will be BEAMIT’s 24.99% share of PRES-X SRL in Rubbiera, Reggio Emilia.

Dr Capretti stated that the proposed sales are designed to maximise creditor satisfaction and safeguard employment levels to the fullest extent possible. The sales will be conducted under competitive procedures compliant with the provisions of the Italian Crisis and Insolvency Code and in execution of the liquidation programme of BEAMIT SpA previously approved by the Creditors’ Committee.
