Titomic selected for 2025 US DefenseTech Accelerator programme

Titomic Limited, headquartered in Brisbane, Australia, has been selected as one of five companies to join the second cohort of the CRP DefenseTech Accelerator, a collaboration between the USA’s Huntsville/Madison County Chamber, Cummings Research Park (CRP), and Treble One. Sarah Neeley, chief operating officer, will represent Titomic at the official launch.
This programme is intended to strategically accelerate Titomic’s ability to enter the defence and aerospace markets, with goals to:
- Secure at least one prime contract with the US federal government
- Secure at least one subcontract with a US federal government prime contractor
- Partner with at least one prime contractor or OEM
The DefenseTech Accelerator is designed to help companies scale their technologies for defence and commercial applications. This year, five companies were chosen to participate: Titomic, FC Renew, MESO Space, SkyfireAI, and Vivum AI. The programme focuses on advancing technologies that address critical needs within the US Department of the Air Force and the broader Department of Defense (DoD).
The 2025 cohort launched on September 30 at The University of Alabama in Huntsville’s Invention to Innovation Center (I²C), where companies participate through December. The Accelerator provides hands-on mentorship, business development support, and direct connections to defence and commercial partners.
Sarah Neeley, COO of Titomic, shared, “Titomic is honoured to be part of this prestigious programme. The DefenseTech Accelerator represents a unique opportunity to collaborate with US defence stakeholders and demonstrate how our advanced manufacturing technologies can enhance readiness and performance.”
Jim Simpson, CEO and Managing Director of Titomic, added, “Participation in the DefenseTech Accelerator enhances Titomic’s integration into the US defence industrial base, aligning with its mission to provide resilient, rapid, and scalable advanced manufacturing solutions for national security needs.”
The initiative is supported by Innovate Alabama and sponsors Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama, Regions Bank, and Synovus. It also leverages the Innovate Alabama Tax Credit Program, which allows state tax allocations to fund local innovation and job growth.
