In a recent post, Aleksander Ciszek, CEO and co-founder of 3YOURMIND based in Berlin, Germany, discussed the company’s 2024 performance and outlined plans for the software company in 2025.

During 2024, 3YOURMIND celebrated its tenth anniversary. “Over the past decade, we’ve witnessed significant shifts in the 3D printing industry,” Ciszek reflected. “We have made tremendous strides in transforming how organisations approach manufacturing. More national economies are emphasising agile, sustainable, and local manufacturing capabilities, and we’re thrilled to be a cornerstone of this journey.”

3YOURMIND customers have reportedly scaled their Additive Manufacturing operations by an average of 25% per year. In 2024, the company’s distributed manufacturing software customers processed a stated two million AM parts, equivalent to approximately $40 million in revenue.

Ciszek noted greater confidence in cloud-based deployments as customers began moving away from on-premise environments. In 2024, 3YOURMIND was accepted into AWS GovCloud, which allows the company to host its software on an ITAR-compliant cloud-based server, opening software availability for potential customers in defence.

Through the Advanced Manufacturing System, 3YOURMIND analysed 10,000 parts and identified over 300 that were suitable for on-demand manufacturing for the US Marine Corps. This work also led the company to its work with the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC). As a part of this, the company has analysed up to 10,000 parts to fully digitise parts for the M113 armoured personnel carrier.

Led by Chief Product Officer Stephan Galozy, 3YOURMIND’s Part Identification and Distributed Manufacturing software solutions underwent large feature updates, including:

  • Introducing a new materials database with over 1,300 entries
  • Introducing new additive manufacturability checks
  • Enhanced the software’s 2D drawing analysis with AI

Looking forward to 2025

“In the past, we witnessed heavy investment by enterprise organisations into Additive Manufacturing machines,” Ciszek wrote. “In 2024, we saw the winds change direction as enterprises reduced their Additive Manufacturing investment and, instead, outsourced more of their operations to service bureaux. We also felt this shift; between 2023 and 2024, our service bureau customer base grew by 40%, signalling that service bureaus remain valuable, experienced partners.”

In the coming year, 3YOURMIND plans to continue expanding the scale of its customers’ Additive Manufacturing operations by incorporating further AI advancements in object character recognition (OCR) into its solutions. The company also plans to support its current offerings with traditional manufacturing.
