MAMC 2026 programme highlights refractory metals and defence

The Austrian Society for Metallurgy and Materials (ASMET) has announced the preliminary programme for the 2026 Metal Additive Manufacturing Conference (MAMC 2026). The event, scheduled to take place from November 10–12, 2026, at the ARCOTEL Wimberger in Vienna, Austria, is intended to bring together international experts from the metal Additive Manufacturing industry for networking and to discuss important issues facing the industry and academic research.

Topics include:
- Powder for MAM
- Systems and equipment for MAM
- Additive design and engineering
- Laser Melting, Electron Beam Melting and Directed Energy Deposition processes
- Sinter-based MAM processes
- Process and quality control and sustainability
- Post-processing of AM parts
- Tools, space and aircraft, automotive, medical and others
- Recent research topics
Alongside the regular programme and plenary talks, the event will feature two highlight sessions: AM on Refractory Metals and MAM in the Defense Sector.
