VRC Metal Systems, developer of advanced cold spray technologies based in Box Elder, South Dakota, USA, has announced that it has been awarded the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Exceptional Small Business Award. The award is presented annually by Lockheed Martin to foster relationships with small businesses that are providing significant value and innovative solutions.

VRC Metal Systems was founded in 2013 after obtaining an exclusive license to commercialise a hand-held high-pressure cold spray technology. Since then, the company has rapidly grown, winning many grants, awards and recognitions. As well as developing cold spray technology, VRC is a full-service cold spray provider that produces equipment, process development, engineering, integration, training, on-site and regional support.
