AM Standards workshop

The Additive Manufacturing (AM) Standards Workshop will take place April 13, 1:00-5:00 pm. The members-only event intends to address powder and post-processed material specifications for Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB) Additive Manufacturing, focusing on consistency and qualification across applications. Discussion will cover common technical needs, current gaps, and opportunities for harmonisation, while accounting for sector-specific requirements.

This workshop, developed in close collaboration with the National Institute for Aviation Research and the Joint Additive Manufacturing Working Group Standards & Guidance Subcommittee, has established two primary focus areas:

  • Powder specification requirements and associated test/verification methodologies
  • Finished material (additively manufactured and post-processed) specification requirements and qualification pathways

Register for the AM Standards workshop.

AIS competition

From its pavilion with RAPID+TCT, America Makes will host live performance testing and the awards ceremony for the 2026 Additive in Steel Competition. On April 15, 2:00-3.30 pm, top university teams will design and test functional everyday carry (EDC) multi-tools.
